THE HOW AND WHY OF DIGITAL DENTURES
Computer designed and machine manufactured, dental prosthetics are changing with Dentsply Sirona and Engineered by AvaDent. With the use of CAD /CAM technology for complete dentures, denturists will not only be able to treat a larger segment of removable patients, but also improve current complete denture services, along with expanding knowledge of facial esthetics and implant treatment skills.
In this presentation, Douglas Brydels will review the concepts and procedures of fabricating a digital dentures. The denture process hasnot changed with denture prosthetics in the virtual realm, preparation for clinical differences, selecting the right products for your patients, and how to begin on your own digital removable journey. This lecture will provide insights to better understand the digital dentures process.

Douglas is currently employed with DENTSPLY Sirona Prosthetics as an Education Specialist. Doug has over thirty five years of experience working in all phases of dentures and partial dentures including working in a large Vitallium laboratory. Doug also had experience for several years covering all the phases in the Crown & Bridge Department of a lab including waxing and finishing frameworks.
Doug works with our KOLs within our Clinical Affairs team by helping train and coordinate our educational programs. Doug also oversees the materials testing and evaluations for our Research & Development department adding input on the technical side.
He is also involved in researching new techniques and materials for removable dentures in order to help in the development of new products for removable dentures. Doug has traveled around the country the past several years training and lecturing on Cercon Art/Eye, our CAD/CAM system, 3Shape, Success/FRS,Eclipse, Vitallium and now Digital Dentures. Doug was certified in 2011 on the 3Shape Dental System, and is involved in the daily operations of our removable training center. He has held a CDT for 30 years.
